Well, it's pretty obvious how this works haha as we already have the You know you're a [bookworm , Aetherlighter] threads haha.

Anyways, I'll start first with this.

You Know You're a Writer When. . . you want to write, but it's the middle of the night and you've already forgotten how to drink a cup of water properly. So stubbornly and half-crazed you write something like this-

Maybe we can open it? I don't know. What do you think? I think we need to open it. I think so too.
So how do we do it? I'm not sure yet. Not sure? How can you be not sure? I'm not sure. Dang it, Bob, you should know this. Why should I know this? Because you're the dang technician of the project, that's why! Stop patronizing me, Bob. You stop patronizing me, Bob. Oh shut up, Bob. No, you shut up. Let's both shut up shall we? No, just you. Yes, let's do just that. Or how about no. How about just you shut up, Bob? Because I’m sick and tired of who you are and what you do to me. Did you do this to me as well? No you did! Or did you? Don't mess with me, Bob! Tell me the truth!! Talking about all this junk is making me hungry. Hungry? Me too! Let's go eat some subway sandwiches with stuff in them. Yeah that sounds like a cool idea let's go eat sandwiches! Subway sandwiches, you mean. Yes, that's what I said. YAY!!

When you're hanging out in the park and remember certain things people say or do so you can use them in your stories.
When you write about having a conference with all of your characters while discussing plots, but the villains make everything go awry and it turns into a mission to defeat the villains and finish the plots!!

You know you’re a writer when you pace back and forth in your room repeating your character’s name in different accents, trying to find a good accent for your world.

You know you’re a writer when you find yourself fixing the grammar on some lyric slides in ProPresenter.
“There’s… no… punctuation…. Must… add…punctuation!!!!”

You know you’re a writer when you’re reading a word problem in math that says something like, “Two jugs stand side by side on a shelf,” and your brain goes, What are those jugs doing there? Who put them on the shelves? What is the liquid used for? What color are they? What is the room like where the shelf is? How old are the jugs? But instead it gives you a lousy math problem, and you’re like, A fascinating story — just wasted!!

You know you’re a writer when you see a tall stack of clean, fresh notebooks for sale and you start drooling.

You look up the definitions of all your characters' names before giving them those names because you care about them that much.

Or because you want to make sure their name fits their character, and you don't want the main characters name to be "Mara", which means bitterness.

You know you are a writer when you are trying to create an evil character and you go to name it, and you finally think of a name, but then that reminds you of a person you know with that name. Then you think about how much you like that person, or something good about them, and then you begin messing with your character and end up with a totally good character, and you are back to square one with the evil character!

(Yes that's happened to me before... in reverse! )

I gave up on a book because of that problem.

Also, you know you’re a writer when you’re going to draw, but end up staring into nothingness because you’re thinking about what a character might act like in the future, or what a good character would be like as a villain or what a villain would be like as a hero, or what if you’d decided to do so-an-so instead of so-and-so, that would’ve changed everything!
Ooh, and what if this happened to this character? Oh man I should write a book where this happens!

AND THEN YOU REALIZE THAT YOU’RE STARVING BECAUSE IT’S LUNCH ALREADY AND WHY HAVEN’T YOU FINISHED THAT ART COMMISSION?

HMMMM?!?

Yeah. Being a writer is great.
