I walk into the office with a notebook in my hand and find Gloria and Nola sitting by the fire, drinking tea.

"Morning," I greet.

"Good morning, Peri!" Gloria responds with a warm smile, "Anything new?"

"Not really," I say with a shrug, "I do have a couple vague theories that I've developed."

"Do tell." Nola turned her body towards me and leaned forward in intrigue.

I take a deep breath. "Well, bear in mind that these are just hypotheses, and for all I know, I could be terribly wrong. Anyway, Christopher thought Erik was Taka, which actually isn't a bad guess. They both like speaking different languages. I also think it could be Missy. I find that they are often around at the same time, and Erik seems to like her pastry shop."

As I speak, Gloria is watching me intently, nodding periodically, and Nola is scribbling notes on a notepad. Good sign, I'd say...

"Also, I have a new hypothesis about Miss Darkfeather: Azeline Darkheap. I don't have very much to back up this guess, other than the fact that both of their internets periodically glitch so they have to keep refreshing on-game. Just an idea... And that's it. What do you think?"

I stood up from the basement, there were several bags of hot cocoa, and I yearned greatly to grab some and drink it. Though I decided it would be best to go up to the people. I heard Peregrine's voice say. "Just an idea. What do you think?" I knew she was talking to Nola and Gloria.

Before Nola or Gloria could reply, I burst from the stairs and shout. "That sounds great!" Though, I know Peregrine was not talking to me. I often like to come into other people's conversations. I sit down on one of the chairs and spin around. "Who do you think Erik is Toren," asked Nola. I looked up and tilt my head.

"I am not sure, I'm working on it... but I've got nothing," I replied to Nola. I fidget with some my notes and begin scribbling some more. "I'm sure an idea will come." Although, I was really unsure. I bit my lip as I wondered if I was catching on to anything, but I knew I had nothing. "Who do you you think Erik is Gloria, Nola?"

"So it turns out Milady De Spark was actually Taka!" I shout slamming my notebook on the table. "Oh come on! My idea was far from that! Stupid Stupid Stupid!"
"Don't be hard on yourself Toren," said Gloria, putting a hand on my shoulder. "Not everyone knew."
"Yeah... even though a lot of people had it figured out," Nola said. "You still can get better--"
"Work on your tactics--" Peregrine added.
"Notice quirks--" Nola sighed.
"Watch writing behaviors," Gloria smiled.
"Yeah," I sighed. "I'll try. Right now I need to go and sob in my room. Thanks for the support?"

SHADOWS RISING

Sholan Brasscape stands on a hillside overlooking No Man's Landing. The moon shines brightly in the night sky, but this hill is exceptionally dark. He smiles grimly.
"You're late." a voice says behind him.
"I had to make sure I wasn't followed." He replies without turning around. "There are a lot of prying eyes and suspicious minds around."
"I know." The mysterious voice replies.
Sholan slowly turns around. "They are beginning to wonder." He peers into the darkness as a figure seems to materialize out of it. Sholan squints, looking harder, but it is impossible to make out any features at all. Not even his clothes show. All that can be seen is a silhouette of the figure, you could say it was only the shadow.
"So, are you going to tell them?"
There is silence for a moment, "No. Why destroy what we have worked so hard to build?"
"What do you mean?" Sholan asks, puzzled.
The figure chuckles. "My roots are spread far deeper than even you realize. There are others."
He makes a motion with his hand and suddenly two more figures step out of the darkness.
Sholan looks back and forth at them and then slowly grins. "I would have never guessed."
"Precisely why I have done it this way."
Sholan takes a step forward and the figure holds up a hand. "There are many smart and some even brilliant minds among them. They tend to get very curious and can't seem to leave well enough alone."
The figure chuckles once again. I challenge any one of them to match wits with the Shadow."
"But how-" Sholan doesn't finish, for the Shadow is gone.

OOC: Two of you know who the Shadow is, that is why I am appointing you the Shadow Guards, It is your jobs to guard it's secret with your lives. (Besides he has blackmail on at least one of you.)

Curiosity is how I even became a detective. I was curious on what it'd be like to start a detective role-play, and ta-da! -jazz hands -

"Sholan Brasscape." I fold my arms and lean against a fence surrounding a field near the hillside. Sholan turns just as the fence starts creaking and falls over, letting me fall headlong into the grass. He chuckles, coming down the hill.

"Gloria Oldenpinner."

I stand up, brushing myself off. "The one and only. Yo, shank. "

"Shank? "

"It's from a book. Long story, that one, but a good one. Anyways, you're a double, and unless you have objections, I'd like to try my hand at figuring you out." I smile and clasp my hands behind my back.

"Try, if you wish." he smirks.

"Okay, great!" I turn and walk away.

"Don't you have a theory to present?'' he asks in surprise.

"Not yet, not one that I really like, anyway. At first I thought Draven, but it's hard to tell. He already has a double, and you write a little different than him. However, you quickly drifted to Mountain Peak Roleplay soon after joining, and then had quite the exchanges with him. Maybe I'm just bad at character portrayal, but I'd say that's pretty impressive how you described each other's charries. And off roleplay, you're pretty lighthearted! (like him. )

"As I'm looking deeper, I'm finding some things that goes against this theory, but not all of it. Who knows, maybe you're even Missy's brother?"

"Unless @Badcop_Blackshine is somehow Missy's brother. . . or is Badcop--- ugh." I smack the clipboard against my head a few times.

"Sooo. . ." I tap my fingers against the clipboard for a moment. "Thoughts? Hints? Possibly cake??'' I look at Sholan hopefully, bouncing up and down excitedly.

I know I should present plausible explanation for each one of these accounts, (and believe me, there are),
But I like to watch people sweat, so I must go fix my wings which were so unceremoniously fried by @Draven_Eldercraft, lighting bit. Ta, ta!

Toren Jumpspark hangs her head sadly and walks to her room. I look at Peregrine, and then Gloria, as if telepathically telling them that this girl is off her rocker. I grimace slightly.

Sierra Lightspark, my archenemy, breaks the silence that followed after Toren left the room. "Miss Oldenpinner, Miss Appleclock... Miss Applequill..." She glares at me, and then meets Gloria's gaze again. "I'm here not just for Mr. Deruin, and the others. As Miss Jumpspark has reported, Miss de Spark has been found. I'm here to present a number of new options. Two of which I shall not say yet, unless they reveal themselves to be doubles, but we already know Miss Destiny Irondash is. Do you believe she has anything to do with the Mountain Peak Role Play? It seems she's quite... Interested in it."

"Where did you get this information?" I ask. "How do you know she's a double?"

Sierra turns her head, and then rolls her eyes at me. "Do you even read the SkyRaiders topic?"

I give her a crazy look. "Uh... I'm the Deputy Nest Guardian. Of course I read the SkyRai--"

"And have you gotten to the part where Miss Irondash admits she's a double?" Sierra responds.

"Uh... She never confirmed it," I reply. "Alex Ironquill asked and Missy Vonheart replied saying she is... Is it possible that Destiny is Missy, if she is a double?"

"Two things, Miss Applequill," Sierra says. "One: Have you read the Who Has Extra Accounts? topic. It's quite obvious that she admitted it to Miss Ironquill. Two: Did you consider that Miss Irondash does not have a 'Heart' in part of her name?"

"Is it Alex, then?" I ask, desperate for answers.

"It's not likely--" Sierra starts to answer.

"Is it Draven?" I ask.

"I believe Miss K already said he most likely was not--"

"Then is she Emily?" I ask. "Purplebottle?"

"Emily denied it."

"Scamanders," I mutter.

"Miss Applequill, you cannot just assume everyone is someone."

I stroke my chin in thought, all the facts and cases spun in my mind like puzzle pieces, however, I had yet to even form the edge of the puzzle.

if D wasn't a double, then how did she stumble across skyraiders so quickly? Could she have simply seen it?

"Different questions are picking my brain at the moment," I admit,

"Two newcomers, one by the name of Falcon. I have a feeling they're related. The other chose her place as a villain to the wynged."

I rise from my chair and began pacing the floor. "They appeared around the same time, however, that's not enough prof to link relation. What are your thoughts on the matter at hand?"

I narrow my eyes at Miss Applequill and respond to Miss Burnclock. "Miss Burnclock, I'm surprised you know this information. In fact, those were the two possibilities I had told you all about." I ponder for a moment, and then add, "How did you receive this information?"

I walk into a dimly lit room and tack a list of names onto the cluttered builtin board. @Nola_Applequill1, @Gloria_Oldenpinner, @Draven_Eldercraft, @Sierra_Lightspark and a few other detectives discuss other cases at hand. However, a few of them look up at the list I've tacked onto the board.

"It's come to my attention that a certain @Missy_Vonheart has secretly taken on eight different identities. As you can see on this list, two of them have been deduced: @Dreadsong_Darkheart and @Miss_M3. However, she has six more identities to be discovered."

I walk over to a chair and sit down. "Any guesses?"

Seeing as how I have not really kept up with the whole double business there are only two people I have tried to uncover. The intrepid Phantom of the Aetherlight, @Erik_Deruin, and the mysterious warrior of Aether, @Unknown_Northlance. So if anyone has anything concerning them, I'm all ears."
