hmmm... I do not feel comfortable spoiling such a good book! but ok. Granite= Tiergan. Squal= Dex's Mom. you don't find out who blur and Wraith are. at least not yet.

I did! Once. Many years ago. I forget the character's name. Actually, I don't remember much about the plot at all.

Clive Cussler is a great writer though. He really puts a LOT of thought into what he writes.

I know this is suuupppeerrr late, but, yes; I've read the Deception series! At least, the three books that are out right now. A little creepy and sometimes on the edge of what I enjoy, but I loved most of it.
I'm looking for more Christian-Fantasy/fiction-clean stuff to read. Has anyone found some recently that they've really enjoyed?

Andrew Klavan has some very good books. I recommend The Homelanders series. Chuck Black is good as well. Ted Dekker has some very interesting books. The plot twists are so satisfying.

Cool; I haven't heard of Andrew Klavan. I'll look into The Homelanders series. I've heard of Chuck Black, but haven't bought the series he wrote yet.
I really enjoy Ted Dekker's stuff. I take doses in moderation, hehe.

This is my absolute favourite book series. It's what got me into the end times and all of that stuff. I made the mistake of reading the Kids' series first but I had no idea what was going on and I stopped. I then read the original series and it was amazing!! I'm now rereading the Kids' series and it makes so much more sense.

Can't help you there, but one of my favorite series is The Formic Wars by Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnson. Really fun writing but has a few morally iffy scenes.

I would recommend it for ages 14+, and it is actually two series. Maybe find a description to see if it's something you might enjoy.

OSC is usually a military sci-fi/political-thriller author, but the two Formic War series' are a step into regular old alien-invasion sci-fi.

@Logan_Brokenspark What?! It literally gets SOOOO much better! You have no idea how awesome the series is! Each of the books is great on its own, and it all explores different moral themes in potential societies. When the final book happens, it explains why everything happened in the first place, and it is mind blowing. Ugh, I wish I could read it again for the first time, they were that good.

There might be some curse words, but I don't remember anything else. Definitely not explicit in any way.

The 3rd one, the one with Pendragon in a plane on the cover, is one of my favorite ones!
