I just read the book House by Frank E Perreti and Ted Dekker. Highly recommend, 9.5/10. If you don't like to be scared, don't read it. If you like Christian horror, definitely read it. It's a 9.5 for me because I am very desensitized and didn't get much of an adrenaline fear rush, though it was still an exciting and captivating read.
Also, THE MOVIE WAS TERRIBLE AND LEFT OUT ALL THE COOL HORROR STUFF AND LEFT OUT MAJOR PLOT POINTS HRNNNNNNNNNNNNN -1000000/10 (and none of the cast look remotely like what I envisioned)
But I definitely recommend the book (I would say 14 or 15+ depending on your maturity and how well you can handle a fair bit of descripted graphic violence)
A less scary option would be the Cooper Kids series by Frank E Perreti, lots of action and adventure, not as scary.
