The first one is like a youngish prospector dude who happens to be a genius but also happens to be a little off his rocker, and he’s really good at making bombs and to be honest, is a complete pyromaniac (and also a hacker, and really goofy).

The other is the middle-aged town sheriff who hates his job but hates disorder even more, so here he is, and is completely fed up with humanity and all their nonsense.

So I have a few questions about Boomtown.
Has their isolation from the rest of Aethasia kept their technology, how shall I say, rudimentary? For example, do they have intercoms, fog-tech, and upgraded weapons, or do they have your typical western-style tech such as six-shooters and such?

Also, do they serve Lucky as the rest of Aethasia? Do automatons patrol? Does Lucky know they exist (I would assume not)? Are they basically a town full of rebels? Essentially, what is their political status?

Yes.

They prefer to use oil and all sorts of powder to power their machines and weapons, as those are the easiest to get/make in Boomtown.

They (mostly) aspire to set aside their political differences and live in peace in Boomtown, politics that doesn't directly pertain to Boomtown is not talked about by the majority of the citizens.

The weapons are solely Western-style, but each citizen comes up with their own unique twist. I encourage you to do the same.

Lucky knows that they exist, of course, but doesn't think it worth his valuable time to interfere with the official "township", seeing as the town brings many barrels of oil and crates of rare minerals into Aethasia, things that are rare, considering how much Lucky has drained the resources of the rest of Aethasia.

Automatons do not patrol, Lucky basically ignores their existence, since they're not a threat... yet.
