Let there be no confusion about what I am referring to. However, the test, because it is about love and how we relate to each other, can be more sensitive than the MBTI, so I thought I would get some feedback before dumbly bashing ahead with the idea.

I think we should talk about the five love languages, if only to aid one another in loving people better.

I've read the book and it's not just for couples. The author talked about how his teenage children have different love languages and how he needs to treat them differently to love them well.

I think it's very useful to know that people receive and give love differently. We can be more sensitve to the way people need to be loved by showing them love in the way they most appreciate it. However, it would not be convenient to show love through physical touch over the forums. The Internet is not kind to people who need physical touch (and timezones don't help either).
Someone once asked me why I learned about the 5 love languages. I don't think it's just for couples (echoing what Eerie Coppernight said). It's for anyone who wants to get better at showing love to someone. It helps you avoid situations where you are trying to show love to someone, but he/she doesn't feel loved.

It’s Quality Time that is the real tough one, I think, and that depends on how you define quality time. You have to find something you both like putting time into in the forums or game, but there are ways. And some versions of QT just don’t work.

Anyway, this directory is why I wanted love languages to be its own topic, but the poll is being a stubborn quantity. Now we have said directory anyway.

@Beckendorf_Direscope @Spector_Otterquill, where do you think this discussion belongs? I’m probably going to go with posting the test results in Personality Test because that was endorsed by 3 other mods, unless you two have something that is a better fit.

@Mr_Q Here’s my thought: why does Jacoby have to host all of the competitions? At this point, I am thinking of just making a topic and hosting a riddle competition myself.

The problem is that it’s a little tricky to organize because a riddle competition is two for the price of one. The first is a competition between riddlers over who has the best riddle, and the second is a competition between answerers to see who is the most creative or the fastest correct answer. So if you want a riddle comp, do you want to enter it as a riddler, an answerer, or both?
