I think Ava's question is an accurate statement. Although, I agree she probably shouldn't have said it like that. But I don't think she is the real person that should be addressed here.
I understand, but there is a difference between being stern and being disrespectful.
I think your approach was degrading and not an appropriate way to handle the situation. You don't have the authority to give the threats you did above as you are not a moderator. But even if you were a moderator, there are rules and conditions for when to apply those actions, but in this case, threatening someone isn't going to help the situation or make it better, as you have seen through @Bucklecrumb's reaction to your post.
I believe your response to @Bucklecrumb earlier is a good example of what some of the forum's guidelines had cautioned about:
