Is it just me, or are the great engines not holding their aether charge right now?
I suspected something yesterday, attempting to unfog the Town Square engine and making almost no progress (the trees in NML wouldn't keep flowers on them for more than a minute or so), and this morning tested it using the Engine Bay engine.
Between two characters, I just put 6 full aether loads into engine bay, over the span of 10-15 minutes, and after the 6th load the fog still came back fast enough that I didn't have time to run down to get the sea flowers before they closed back up again. Then grabbed a 3rd character and added 4 more full aether loads over about 10 minutes, and the same...couldn't get down in time to grab the sea flowers. (In more detail: The area "unfogs/brightens", I run down, but then the open sea flower closes again while I'm still several steps away...which is what usually happens on the first aether load, not the tenth.)
From a practical perspective, I'm not sure what the problem is, because it's a computer program not a real engine, and I don't have access to the code. Since I'm the only one filling it, was I too slow between loads? Has the "speed" at which it uses/drains aether increased? Is the tank "full" but not actually using the aether and therefore didn't actually take my aether but just produced a baseline initial reaction? Is the engine resetting the tank to zero at the moment someone starts adding more aether to it? All just hypothetical guesses.
If anyone is interested in continuing the test, here are two things I wasn't able to test:
1. Multiple people teaming up to all put their aether loads into an engine at the same time.
2. Confirming that the same problem is happening with the other two engines.
