If you have, you're at the right place. We have a lot going on and we need everyone's help here. We're counting on everyone to help test, keep things neat, and find/figure out issues with the new update. We're also hoping to keep this news specifically announced only here on the forums instead of direct email or blogpost until we get along a little ways in making sure everything is okay.
If you open up the Aetherlight launcher it will alert you to re-launch to activate and update the new one. (There is a confirmed issue with Apple users that it's having trouble launching, so let us know if that is happening to you. It is being looked into at this very moment.) After that, you'll enter your username and password as usual. But unlike the usual, you will notice a vast change. Instead of going directly into the game, you will see a picture of your main account and a button below with the option to create a new account. We are suggesting everyone to start over with a new character (don't worry, you won't lose a thing with your old account, and you can log back into your old whenever). We're wanting everyone to start over hoping it will give us the chance to effectively test the new update.
Also, according to Mech, it's better to start off fresh. (You'll see why as you log in for yourselves. I won't reveal anymore.) You'll be able to play the whole storyline over again and we're asking you guys to report and glitches, potential problems, or give us any question you might have. If it is even the smallest error, let us know immediately so we can correct that issue. Please make sure to use the appropriate topic when doing so.
This is an amazing thing, guys! We've waited so long and it has finally happened. Let's try to keep this topic as spam free as possible and only ask questions and look for answers here. Feel free use other topics such as Talk All You Want, Random Anything, Emily's topic (above), etc. for discussion amongst yourselves.
