It would be helpful to know what the various stats actually do before having to decide. Like, what does lore do, for example?

(By the way, just in case anyone didn't know this, if you bring up your stats and then scroll over them with the mouse, a little window pops up that tells you what they do. Or at least that's what happened with my brother.)

Ok, I actually would really like to know the answer to above question. What does lore do? Because that's kind of the only one that seems like it could actually effect the story...

I have a scholar account and I looked, lore apparently increases the effectiveness of items (e.g. water cans, oil cans, accelerating apparatus, gyrostabilizers, etc.) when you use them in battle?...

So I guess it makes it so your dynamite causes more damage? That's consistent with other Scholar attributes, like the Automationdex.

It should be noted that, aside from the crafting bonuses, the Professions only seem to affect battling automations at the moment.

I have not noticed any changes in your stats when you change outfits.

Oh. That explains why I die so easily in battles now. My account glitched, and I don't have a profession, so I'm still at 100 health whereas other people are at 200 or so health and have all those stat bonuses.

hi, i was wondering what the beta servers name is (the one the beta test is on, i'm getting alot of glitches). if it is roaring springs, i was wondering if you could take me off that server so i will not experience lots of glitches. if not possible, then just ignore.

PS: this might be helpful, it wont let me change servers!

Currently the only server available to the general public is Roaring Springs. I believe the Beta Test server is currently only available to staff, at this moment.

The game is very buggy, the best thing you can do now, when you encounter one is to report it on the forums and hopefully the staff will notice.

I think the Roaring Springs server is the beta server. Mech or somebody mentioned something about it but I don't remember when or where.

alright, is it possible to play an earlier version of the game, how about, when episode 3 just came out (i really don't like glitches, lest theres more benificial ones). if it is possible, will it mess up which locations i am able to go to?

As far as I know, there is no way to play an earlier version, as the game is wired as a multiplayer server. It is too bad, though. Sometimes I wish I could play the old game as well.

I don't believe it is possible to do what you are suggesting.

If you want more details:

To do what you are wanting, I think you would have to be a dev with a hardcopy server of the wanted version. As (I assume) you do not have such a thing, the only other thing that would accomplish this is for a dev to roll back the servers to a prior version which I highly doubt would happen.

@Mr_U It’s currently possible to play the iPad version of the game right now, which is technically an older version. However, all of the automation battles are broken due to their names being changed on the server.

Also, all of the older versions of the Aetherlight are all available for download as zip files for PC, but it would take some serious hacking to get the automation battles to work. The server also applies the RP stuff to your character regardless of what version you’re playing, I’ve noticed. So yeah, you’re basically stuck with the latest disaster.

I have thought of trying to play a version before RP fatigue was introduced for the purpose of quickly leveling characters. That might be practical if I can dodge/use all of the previous glitches.
