I just finished the first episode. It's kinda funny. Back in November, Catherine (you remember her right?) was asking me if I know when the next season is coming out. I told her according to gossip, mid-Feb. But it was her reminding me it came out yesterday.

Johann's villain-ness: DEFINITE NAY.
Astrid+Hiccup: Yay.
Twins: YAY ALL THE WAY
Mala+Dagur: NAY NAY NAY NAY ALL THE NAYS
Wingmaidens: Nay.
Fishlegs freaking out about the Ingerman thing: NAY.

Yeah. I agree with you there. The Johann's villainy just isn't as good as Viggo's. Like all the other villains had pretty good personalities.
Alvin: He's treacherous. And pretty strong and smart if he tries.
Dagur: He's deranged.
Mildew: Turncoat traitor
Ryker: Strong and smart
Viggo (my fav): Extremely smart and loves to look at everything like a game.
Krogan: Eh... cool but not cool enough
Johann: Ugh... we already had one turncoat traitor. Like amazing plot twist but just went all downhill.

I think Viggo, Krogan, and Ryker are the top three best villains. (I’d say Dagur, but he’s not bad anymore)
