I nodded as Missy barked her orders. I liked how she bossed us all around, not mean, but efficient. I started to think. Could I go undercover and try and find a way to get a place for us to crash? I pondered this for a moment, before I got a warning glance from Badcop as he shifted into the basement. I shook myself to my senses. Okay, think! What can you do... Ah, there. I shimmied up to the rooms that Missy took. I surveyed it over, the quietness was deafening, if you know what I mean. I stalked into a room, it had some weapons lying about it. I gasped,
I stooped down and plucked a gauntlet from the ground.
An automation gauntlet? Yes, please!
I slipped it onto my hand, marveling. I supposed it had been taken off a defeated autofficer. I looked over the mechanics of it.
Blast! The wires are severed, and the Fog broiler is shot. Probably for the better, I guess... Maybe I can restyle the thing?
I sat down and took it off, refastening the wires together, and yanking out the Fog broiler.
I looked around, a small purple gemstone sat on a desk. Perfect.
I picked up the Fog broiler, rerouted and cleaned the circuits, and then poured some Aether into it.
A mini Aether broiler! Perfect!
I re-fitted the broiler and clicked a few internal switches. I clacked the opening in the gauntlet shut, fitting it over my hand.
I pressed a button, and it whirred to life.
This is SO COOL! I looked over the buttons, realizing what commands they triggered.
Could I control automations? Wow!
I placed it in my bag and started putting stuff into a nearby box, hoping no-one would miss the gauntlet.
Wouldn't this be considered stealing? Naw, it's fine. I'll just show them what I did, and they'll love it!
