So not sure about the rest of you, but I basically have a process now. Especially since my OG character is only back up to L22, and filling the great engines is the best way to slowly raise levels when I don't have any quests to do and when I don't have another player to help.
Wanted to share in case there is anything here you can use, or if there is something I missed that you can fill me in on.
It helps that most of the areas with invisible boxes (NML, Business District, Flying L, Northern Slurries, plus Junkyard) are the areas with great aether generating opportunities (plus Urchin's Grotto and Southern Slurries), so I hit almost all of them twice, and they are also the same places with barrels/boxes to get uncommon or rare items (NML, Racing Pits, and Northern Slurries). When (if) I get the junkyard open, then the sea flowers in smuggler's cove are open, and Evergreen Meadows will be generating double milk/honey/wool without resetting.
Sometimes I can do it without actually expending any resources, since in general I'm a hoarder, but if I'm too slow I sometimes use posters or patches to get another engine load. And I suppose I could camp out at the milk/honey/wool shops with those hoarded resources, but maybe I'll save those for power leveling once Season 2 opens, or whenever we do an event where we're trying to open something fastest.
With at least two characters, running each one every other day, most if not all of the daily stuff is ready for harvesting. And I make sure to pick up at least two potted plants, all four printer plates, 1-2 glass vials, and convert 4 lenses to lightning globes during the runs. I have enough snow globes and crocodile tears now (with my main character) that I'm not focusing on those unless I want the aether from the crocodile ponds.
If I'm bored, have time to run multiple characters through the process, or if other people were hitting the Town Square engine, I'll hit Engine Bay to get those two sea flowers, or the Snowmoors to get to the glass vial table behind the fog gate.
