"Ugh! We're trapped!" Felicity said.
Hanna looked around. "Felicity! Scarlet? You guys here?"
"Yes I'm here, Hanna! Where are you?" Felicity asked when the darkness filled her eyes.
"I'm here." Scarlet crawled over to where Hanna was sitting.
When they were together, Scarlet spotted a window. "Guys! Look! There's our ticket outta here!"
Felicity chuckled. "I've always wondered why people put windows in jail."
"I think it's for light so the prisoners, or in this case, us, so they can see where they're going. But jails make the windows really hard to get out."
"Oh." Felicity squinted. "I don't know how you spotted that window. It's dark outside, so it's really hard to see, because it's so high up, and far away."
"My eyes somehow adjust to darkness pretty quickly." Scarlet said feeling pleased that she helped in someway.
"Good job Scarlet!" Hanna said.
"Thanks Hanna." Scarlet said.
"Okay guys! We really need to think of a plan to get out of here!" Felicity said.
"Okay." Hanna looked around. "Oh! I have a crow bar! We can pry the bars on the window open!"
"Awesome! Let's do it!" Felicity said.
Hanna hurried over to the window. "No. I don't think I can reach."
"We'll help you," Scarlet said. "Felicity,I think your the strongest besides Hanna, so you can be hold me on your shoulders, and I can hold Hanna up on mine..."
"Hanna, would you be okay with Scarlet prying open the bars?" Felicity asked.
"Yes! As long as we get outta here." Hanna said with a nod.
"Okay great! So Hanna, you'll have to be the one to hold Scarlet and I up, because you are the strongest. So I'll get up on your shoulders, then Scarlet, you'll stand up on mine. Then you pry open the window, and we get out."
"One problem," Scarlet said quietly. Scarlet didn't like being the one to run into problems, but she figured she better say something. "How are we gonna get everyone out? I mean because I'll get out, but Felicity will have to use all of her arm strength to get out. That'll be hard. Then Hanna...you won't be able to reach so..."
"It'll be easy," Hanna said only slightly cutting in. "Scarlet you can pull Felicity up when you're up there, then when Felicity's up there, she can pull me up. Simple."
"Okay there's the plan. But we're running out of time, so let's go!" Felicity said.
Hanna took a deep breath, and stood under the window. Felicity climbed onto Hanna's shoulders, feeling unbalanced. Scarlet trembled, and climbed onto Felicity's shoulders, with Hanna's crowbar in her left hand. Felicity and Scarlet could feel Hanna swaying side to side, trying to keep them up.
"You can do this Hanna!" Scarlet said.
"Scarlet's right. Your doing great!" Felicity said holding Scarlet up.
"Th...thanks guys!" Hanna said grunting, because of all the weight on her shoulders.
Scarlet began to pry the bars open. All the force it took for Scarlet to pry the bars open, threw Hanna off balance. She accidentally leaned forward, and Felicity yelped as she felt herself falling forward. She and Hanna tumbled to the ground, moaning.
"I'm really sorry!" Hanna said.
"That's alright. We'll try again. Where's Scarlet?" Felicity said.
She and Hanna looked up. There was poor Scarlet dangling from the bars. "Help!"
"We're coming Scarlet!" Hanna said pulled Felicity onto her shoulders.
This time it worked. Scarlet pulled the bars open, and before the three knew it, they were running away into the night.
