It's a blustery December day here in No Man's Landing, and as you walk down the narrow street a girl hurries past you. There's the sound of swift footsteps going past the tight-shuttered houses, then the soft thump of something falling to the cobblestone. Glancing around, you see the figure has left, and though you didn't get a good look at her face you remember her wearing a tophat and she had a satchel. Something must've fallen out of it. . .
You walk over to see what fell, and find a sketchbook laying on the damp street. Leather bound and slightly dented, it looks well loved with the pages open and fluttering in the wind. You catch a glimpse at the pictures drawn within. . .
Top hatted cats, super hero fairies, crazy outer space arcades and a stylized picture of TinTin! (oh my!)
One thinks you ought to return it, so with the use of your grand Resister skills, you look for the girl and after a few questions asked, two tin cans and a stray cat later, you arrive at a cheerful looking office with the words 'Detective Oldenpinner's Office ~ Visitors and Inquiries Welcome'
"Hullo!" She greets cheerfully when you open the door. You explain that you found her sketchbook, and so on. (Note From Narrator: Comments that go in this part of the story are welcome in the comments below)
"Thank you!" The detective continues, taking the sketchbook gratefully. "There's a lot of pictures in here that I wouldn't want to lose!" You probably say something cordial and how'd you like to see more drawings. (Another Note From Narrator: At least I think you said that, this job is harder than it looks)
And so. . . Please join me on this artistic adventure that all started on a blustery December day in the streets of No Man's Landing, Aethasia's gateway.
Well that was fun to write.
Now, for a bit of FAQ I've received on my other artwork...
Q: Can you draw me?
A: Yes! Unless I have list of commissions too long to fit anyone else in, I would be glad to draw you.
Q: Do you need pictures?
A: Yep! I need pictures of your outfit and a pose and weapon preference, if any. (Pictures for these are also helpful.) I'm open to drawing with no references whatsoever (I'm curious to see how'd that turn out XD) but pictures and other details help me create a better picture. So, the choice is yours.
