I never knew what that day would have in store for me while I was on the doorstep in front of the house of my Grandma. It all started in the attic, a journey I will never forget.
"Well hello Jacoby! I'm glad you came to visit me! I have some candy bars in the kitchen on the counter. I just need to finish dusting, so then we can finish that puzzle. Go help yourself."
"Ok." Walks over to the counter and starts peeling a wrapper off of a Snicker bar. Talks with mouth full of chocolate. "Umm. Good," I mumbled to myself.* I speak louder so she can hear me from the living room.* "Oh, yeah! Dad said you had a couple of glass beakers I could use for my science project?"
"Oh, yes! That's right. Where did I put them? I put them somewhere. Oh yes! Now I remember! I put them in the attic."
"I'll go get them. You go ahead and finish the dusting."
"Ok, but take a flashlight."
I grabbed another chocolate bar, this time Butterfingers, and headed for the staircase, that led to the attic. I shined the light up the stairs and started my climb. I opened the door that led into the attic.
"I wonder where those beakers are. Oh! My old lightsaber!" Starts swinging it around. CRASH! "Whoops!"
I accidentally hit a door that led into another room in the attic where Grandma kept most of her junk.
"Where are those beakers. Oh! Here they a-, never mind. Just a mirror. What is under that quilt? Oh! It's them! Yes! I found them!"
Glances up. Notices a huge, gold looking machine
"Wow! This looks like something from one of those movies! What are those spoke looking things at the top?" Looks around the machine some more. Gets on a platform looking piece on it.
"I wonder what this button does?" Pushes button. Hurm! Hurm! HURM! VROOM! VROOM! VROOM! "Woah! The spokes are turning!" VROOM! VROOM! VROOM! "It's going faster! Wow! I feel like I'm transparent! What!? I'm disappearing!"
Then I was gone and my journey began.
