I don’t think Beckendorf mean permanently, Creel. Only until you’re done your break.

Probably the most obvious thing would be to advertise. Not posting posters every single day, but just around election time.

Another thing would be to actually discuss things before elections. We don’t even have our candidates ready! So someone needs to be responsible to post the poll every month before Hans asks for the candidates.

I also feel that it would be awesome if we could do a fun debate between the people running for President. All we do is vote and wait for the results. Wouldn’t it be cool to have all three parties’ presidential candidates make a super long speech and then “fight” over who would be best qualified? We could have a Mod or someone there to make sure it doesn’t get out of hand, but I think elections are just so... regular. We don’t do much, and something like this might make it more eventful.

What if.... no, never mind. I’ve said enough. What do you think?

See I had a similar idea I’m just not sure how to implement it. Because I’m not great at making poles but if somebody could do that I could ref the debates

@Elizabeth_Newroad I totally agree with you. I have posted various promotional material on this topic, but not really elsewhere. I really like the idea of utilizing the MP Debate topic (that has never been used).

This was the party I was drawn to simply because I want to get to know Jacoby better, and I perceive his sharp integrity.

However, when I looked at the Guild, it seems like they communicate slightly better. Yet, decisions are not easily made in the Guild. I am just going off of recent posts.

I love the debate idea. If that were to happen, more concrete changes would be made. (Like Jacoby's idea for a press (is that the current Aethasian Times?)

So, with that said, I think I would want to commit to this party. Not running for vice president in the future though.

Well, obviously we would need a moderator to be willing to be the Moderator of the "official" debate.

(See what I did there? )

A set time between all nominated candidates has to debate a day or two before the election.

So, a set hour of debate attended by the candidates and a moderator should be sufficient enough for voters to make informed decisions. All four or five people have to be on the Forums at the same time to debate. A little more effort and commitment to run for president, but that's what it takes to run.

Are we doing just the people running for President debating, or are we including the Vice Presidents too?

I think anyone should be allowed to debate, but it should probably be used mostly for Candidates to voice their platforms and debate their opponent's.
