I'm not a council member, but if I were to choose an active member from The Aethasian's Guild to be my successor, my first valid choice right now would be you. Because, well, you're the only eligible person to run at the time. About Shadow, I'm not really sure if I would've even voted for him. He's ambitious (which is good), he wants the best for the community (I think he did anyways, also good.), but I've watched his actions, and I think he's not the kind of president we need right now. I think he would be good in a time of tension in the community, but not now. He's said he wanted to set up a flagging system, but we don't need that right now. Not a good idea. This isn't personal, but I feel like he's the kind of person who would try to establish perfect order on the forums. Think about it though. Is that really a good idea? The Aetherlight Forums is a diverse community that's all about the core Resistance values. The most important one being community. Towards the end of my term I realized what I was really working towards. I was leading the community towards a new Golden Age, but I realized I was doing exactly what it says in the Aetherlight Bible. The Golden Age of Aethasia was a party. The Golden Age of the forums is to be the same. It's what the Great Engineer intended it to be. He didn't make Aethasia and invite all of those people to come be under his rule so he could have a perfect Empire. No, he invited all of those people from any and every walk of life to come take part in his creation. It was for their own enjoyment! Before the fall of Aethasia it was a party. That's what we're working towards.
So as of now I think I'll be voting for Danyul Braziervest unless someone more promising comes up. I think Danyul has good intentions for the community, and I think he understands what the Aetherlight Forums is all about.
