Hello, fellow Aethasians. You had voted for me as President, and in turn, I promised I would bring a better age for the forums and in-game. Normally I would put this in Aetherlight Fans section, but this concerns ALL of the forums. Not just part of it. You see, this is what I'm here to fix: over-spamming, unorganized or confusing role-play, uncoordinated meetings, and more. I believe with your help and compliance, we can truly make the Aetherlight forums better than ever before. First things first, I need a group of the most intuitive and cleverest people here. We'll create a small think-tank to brainstorm solutions for the things that make the forums all cluttered up. If you want to sign up, vote here:

Once we have the official think-tank, (of six members including me), I'll share my ideas of how to take care of the things I mentioned earlier.

Okay, guys. Since my term is only one month. It's time to get down to business. The first problem, and probably the easiest one to take care of, is the uncoordinated meetings. People just going back and forth, and ending up with only three people in attendance. I remember when there were huge meetings. You do to, @Jacoby_Elderfun1, right?

My thoughts on the subject is to create a small set of rules for meeting-makers to follow, as to prevent dozens of small meet-ups into a true BIG MEETING. I think another idea is to promote an Aetherlight member to be Head Meeting-master to help around with these rules when we can't. What say you, Apex Aethasians?

I also had another idea that I was going to use if I win, but if you like we can use it here! We have some speech rally where a couple of round up a group or so and you can give them a speech and tell them about the forums.

I may have a solution to the meeting spam. What if we have two topics. One if meeting Setup. The other Meeting Replies. The person who is trying to set up a meeting says so at Meeting Setup and posts a link to Meeting Replies. You can only post times and places at the setup and only replies if you can make it to the meeting at the replies topic. The original poster will be able to figure out if the person can make it, b if they post that they can come, or by if they can't if there's no posts at all. If every one follows this rule we could cut back spam to maybe 10-15 for the setup a week and 20-30 in the replies a week. What do you think?

Your second idea reminds me of something else I'm going to implement here on the forums, but for right now, lets just focus on this.

I think your solution for meeting spam is well grounded, but I think some problems could possibly arise from it. It'd be a little harder for a Head meeting-master to take care of both forums at once. Also, since the two forums are not necessarily connected, there can be some confusion as maybe two people who don't know each other end up in the same meeting. Your idea of the link part is good though. Maybe instead of two separate forums we just implement this rule: You must put SET-UP or REPLY on top of every post to indicate its importance. Ones without will be checked over in case of spam, and moderators will be notified. That way people are more conscious of when they are spamming or not.

I agree with the meeting policy put into place Mr. President. It makes things clearer for those in attendance to see who will actually be coming to their meeting. Maybe there should be forums set aside SPECIFICALLY for meeting times, dates, and offers, that way if your on you can check to see if a meeting is in place and who will be there. And if none are in place you can offer one.

Oooookkkkkkkaaaaaayyyyyyy, let me think, hmmmm, so, um, I'm not sure how to do that, this idea is pretty lame, how about we tell everyone not to make tiny posts, we need to put lots of information into one post so that people can go by that one post and don't have to ask questions, when some makes a small post we can inforce the rule of not making little posts.

I think we need a fighting force that goes into No Man's landing every 30 minutes to an hour and rids the place of automations so the new players don't have to keep running into them.
