@Calebneal_Dibbleapple I had an outside-the-box thought, that being an online forum community moderator is a type of leadership that comes with validity (because if you do a poor job the other mods ask you to step down), and any type of leadership can be useful on a resume. So although they don't get paid in money, there are ways to benefit from it in terms of leadership experience and personal growth and the great feeling that comes with teamwork and a job well done (especially if there were challenges to overcome).

If you are interested in mentoring and advice from current mods with the goal of being a mod yourself, this would be the thread to start in.

Hi @Mods I was wondering if there is any possible way I could become a mod myself? I know a lot about the forums and I have done almost all the quests on Aetherlight. I am also very active on the forums and I think I could help people out a lot!

That'd be a good question for the staff mods: Mech Lightspark and Sigmund Coppermiddle. I'd send an email in to the Aetherlight support email detailing why you think you could be a good mod. That's what I did initially, and then a long time later they contacted me when they had a need for more mods. Good luck!

Thanks for being so proactive and willing to help, but we currently aren't looking to expand our team. In the foreseeable future, we would likely only look for more help if a current moderator would want to step down.

Pleased to make your acquaintance @Mr_W3. If you look at the last two posts in your topic, you can see the reasoning behind the closing of your topic. I know what it feels like to have a great idea, make a topic for it, then find there are other topics out there already. It stinks. However, it makes since, because if we had a topic for every time someone wanted a convo topic, there would be far more (and less used) topics on the forum causing it to be cluttered. I recommend seeing the topics recommended at the bottom of your topic, and (If you have another great idea for a topic, which I bet you will!) check out this topic:
