I think my many flags will explain themselves, but the reason I flagged those posts is because they could hurt many people who read them, and were off topic. :0) I wanted to flag the whole discussion (except once it got out of hand) as off topic, as it is, but it wouldn't let me. The posts once it got out of hand were flagged inappropriate as they broke these guidelines:
Always Be Civil

Nothing sabotages a healthy conversation like rudeness:

• Be civil. Don’t post anything that a reasonable person would consider offensive, abusive, or hate speech.
• Keep it clean. Don’t post anything obscene or sexually explicit.

In my opinion, I don't think anything should be deleted off that topic, since pretty much everything there could be considered offensive... and we kind of need all that there as to not get the past debate confused.

I just think since the whole convo was pretty significant, and it would be smarter not to delete it. Less confusing that way.
I guess it's just kind of a part of history that seems like it's resolved itself, and should be remembered.

Just like the guidelines say, the policy is still "If you see a problem, flag it!"
Flags alert the moderators to a post that someone believes has violated the guidelines. Still use them!

Or will we have the wise old moderator @Hanna_Brassheart to guide us into a new era?
