SFDP, but for @staff @Mech_Lightspark @Anakin_Steamwalker, this doesn't really help:
I'm still scratching my head. My player name is inside the game, and obviously that game is covered by SCS copyright, but it's not covered by the copyright statement at the end of the TOS page. There also doesn't seem to be a user agreement that says that I agreed to not use my player name to make money when I signed up.
Not that I'm looking to do that here with the website (this particular thing), I'm just pointing out there is a hole here.
If I own the name Sierepica_Fuzzywalker, under American copyright law I can copyright books under said name and actually sell them, since it is "a name in which I am known by". Just thought I'd put that out there for jumpscare value.
In addition, the TOS might be out of date since it says we're bound by the laws of New Zealand, and that's now weird since the Aetherlight is headquartered in America these days.
Anyway, I'll stop thinking out loud now. I wish the mods and staff well on untangling this one.
