A dreadful psychological pattern, namely:

People: This is insane and doesn't make any sense and is out of touch with reality.
Brick Wall: I'm still going to believe what I believe, and what I believe is still true, regardless of what you say.
Me: Then why are you still talking to me if you aren't interested in what I have to say?
