And in the face of this, I will be that annoying person who points this out and stands up to defend those who are excluded. Unfortunately, I'm not there to do that for you.
Personally I take the position that God brings people into our lives for a reason, and every new person has something new to show us...if only that we are ignoring others and excluding them.
If it's just me alone in the introvert zone, though, I just outsmart them all with my bible knowledge (or knowledge of anything that might be useful in context) until they stop: they need me, so they quit excluding me for no good reason.
I'm a human being, a believer in Christ, and I want to be your friend.
What else is there to say?
What you are describing isn't introversion, it's alienation and social isolation. Introverts need alone time to recharge from too much social interaction; this is wanting social interaction and needing it desperately, perhaps with a struggle to articulate what you're feeling and a fear of what people will do if they know what's really on your mind. You need to tell people what you're feeling and you need to feel like the people will support you, regardless of what it is. (I've been there - we all probably have - though in my case it was writing because I'm a real introvert instead of talking, but you get the idea.)
That doesn't make what you're saying or feeling wrong, it's just not introversion. Not all introverts fit into this category, and extroverts actually would suffer from this worse than introverts. If you're in the "introvert zone" and you're not happy there, you're probably not an introvert - you're an extrovert.
Extroverts are the people who crave/need social interaction. This sounds like extroversion to me. Extroversion denied and treated cruelly, but extroversion nonetheless.
This is my comfortable permanent residence. Though I have this habit of calling attention to myself when I need it and deflecting it when I don't. I have control over the ghost realm - I don't get locked up in there.
However, I understand that a lot of people DO in fact get locked up in there and can't express what's on their mind for fear of retribution by others. Or they simply can't be heard or they are ignored when they tell the truth. I force myself out and frankly I have a habit of yanking others out of it. It makes me angry to see people silenced and trapped.
One case where you want the thing to be Photoshopped...and it wasn't. (technically it would be "Premiered" in this case since it's a video, but that's not as recognizable)
Couldn't agree more. I'm a person who digs into things I care about almost to the point of insanity (in fact, in some people's view, to the point of insanity) so I'm not leaving. Unless some external force gets in my way, I'll stay until the last post. I have no reason to leave. Sorry if you wanted to get rid of me.
That is one of the best reasons to leave a forum. Actually, one creep is enough for me to bail, but I haven't found any creeps here.
Okay, officially done with Aetherlight forum slog today. Yay! On to other things...
