IMPORTANT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL NEW SKYRAIDERS.
If you are interested in joining the SkyRaiders, please read the previous role play posts in the Mountain Peak Role Play thread. You don't have to read everything, but please read the latest and the greatest of the role play posts.
It's much appreciated, because we do, in fact, have plots, and if you post with a plot that has to do with the entire Sanctuary, please read and ask us about any plots or subplots we have going on before jumping in on your own.
We want you to have fun, and to be a part of the action. But it's terribly hard when you jump in and create a new plot - if it's your own backstory, that's completely fine. But if it involves something going on with the Sanctuary, it's unaccepted.
So, before making your first role play post, consult with us first. Thank you for your time and attention.
The Rules
We all know that every role play has rules. I don't want it to be fuzzy or unclear as to what the rules are. As the Deputy Nest Guardian, I help make the rules, but Headmistress Vytanni Throttlenight is the main one in charge of the rules.
(@Vytanni_Throttlenight, you can add to these rules at any time.)
By extended, I mean no drawn-out action scenes where blood smothers someone's whole body and it gives a bloody, gory image in the reader's mind. We are a Christian forum, and that means we need to show that we are different from the rest of the world that makes violence seem like "no big deal".
But, there's a paradox. We need to make sure the storyline is realistic, and if we're going to fight Automatons, we can't just be without a scratch, flawless. No, certainly not. But we, as the author of our own role play pieces, choose what to describe and what not to describe to the reader. We shouldn't describe an immense amount of blood, but just describe the small amount of scratches and bruises that show, "yeah, I'm fighting for what I believe in".
I know. This was a pretty funny one, at least to me.
But it is true. Headmistress Skyhawk/Vytanni Throtlenight has decreed only one death should take place, and until we figure out who that death should be, you shouldn't make your character die.
I can't stress this enough. Without understanding the plot, it will throw the entire role play waaaaay off track into outer space instead of cyberspace.
If you don't know what "OP" means, it means "overpowered". You're overpowered when you have too many special abilities, or a special ability that makes you nearly indestructible. Don't do that. It makes it really unfair for the enemies. (Yes, you heard me right.
)
Make sure your wing type and ability is different from someone else's. Be yourself! Be a character someone will gasp at, because of the creativity. Just be unique.
That's it for now, but I'd love to have Hanna edit it if @Vytanni_Throttlenight brings out anything else.
And @Hanna_Brassheart, can you please make this purple? Pretty please? Thanks! XD
