Setting: COTP, first scene is in an alley with my character sitting by herself. Set before her adventures with the Phantom.
She hangs her head low, but raises it as if in hope.
This place I've found.
This place I'll go.
This place I wonder,
Oh, how beautiful!
This place I'll make.
This place I'll see.
This place I'll find,
Oh the people I would meet!
leaps up from the ground, as if going to do something rash, but stops as a can is thrown from a window, hitting her in the side of the head. She winces.
Time cut, it is raining heavily. She is drifting down the road, passing through anything in her way.
I'm just a small girl with an ancient past.
shift to her side view, she looks up, closing her eyes She stops floating and delicately places her feet on the cobblestones.
I'll only live amongst the alleyways and rats.
Time skip. She is now running away from a Lasher with tears in her eyes. She is running in the meadows, the sky is dark and grey.
And being hopeful will just get me killed.
Dreamin' dreams that'll never be fulfilled!
As she sings that last line she gets caught by the Lasher's whips.
Time skip. She is in a prison, and as she sings she raises through the roof and above the city, resting on the roof to gaze at the large full moon.
I should stop dreaming.
And start thinking.
Stands up suddenly, leaning forward. One hand over heart, the other behind her dramatically.
If I wrapped myself in my failures I'd be better wrapped that any mummy!
Leans backward and falls on back. Center on face side view. Tears stream from eyes.
Then why, should, I try, to be.
Like the Phantom!
'O' is drawn out, long and loud.
Time skip. Standing in an alleyway, scared expression on her face.
He can't even notice me.
At the word 'even' she leans he head out to see Erik singing, he glances in her direction on the word 'with'. She morphs to invisibility on the command.
With my invisa-bil-i-ty.
Short time skip, starts running away down a road, eyes closed but crying.
So why should I try!
Slows down, collapses on her knees, slowly lowering her face to the street.
Like his name he'll be gone as just, a memory.
Floating far, from grasp.
Short time skip. One foot placed at the base of a metal spire on an unknown building. One hand grasping it, the rest of her body leaning out.
I should give up him, and my past.
Because my hopes have been furled out like a mast!
Slowly closing on face, she closes her eyes as tears start streaming from beneath her eyelashes.
As they would be, in a storm!
Slides down metal pole, landing on the roof in a heap.
Looks up at the moon.
Why... Do I try.
'O' is drawn out slow and helplessly. Ending in a whisper.
I uh, tried. I know non of you have heard this song before, but I'm trying to get the kind of melancholy yet hopeful feel as if from the song Tightrope. The tune is different though.
(It's obviously not the same, but try looking up the song When will my life begin from Tangled. At the end of the song is more so what I'm leaning towards, but it's definitely not the same thing.)
Kudos to @Erik_Deruin XD
