Problems with Map/What Does Aether indicate on it?

I've been stuck on one part of the Episode 2 game for a while now. I am at Level 14. The Scarlet Man has already given me the map, but I don't know how to read it. I've asked several other players, but they haven't been able to help me. When I've asked a game character, Julian, he responded: "I believe that map is giving us directions. What does the Aether indicate on it?"

Your help would be much appreciated!

Aha! I found the advanced search.
November 25, 2016 is the earliest post of mine I could find, but I know I have posted earlier then that. (Nov. 19th was the date I "joined." Joined what--the forums?) The topic in which I posted was deleted. Since I cannot locate my true first post, I'll just say that I've been here before the forums were updated, and when there was only Episode 1 in the Aetherlight chronicles.
