Welp that argument has mainly turned to Sierepica, eerie and I flying to mars, I returned to earth, had a debate with Spector on behalf of Ms S, Ariella joins, Xonos joins/leaves, Jayhawk flags posts, just lots of debating!

Be careful, Eerie. Forgiveness can take a long time and be slow in coming, even for the best of us, so have some patience for our more emotionally inclined friends. They need some time to sort themselves out. People do not always overcome their sin nature overnight.

My original post didn't specify a time differential. Expecting people to overcome something as severe as emotional pain took me years, and expecting it to go faster is a thoughtless and unreasonable expectation. What I want is them to stop attacking the people who aren't going through that sort of pain, and start the slow, ugly process of facing the pain down and applying Scripture to it in order to heal.

It is coming. I'm pretty sure the people I'm addressing understand what I'm saying, they just REALLY don't like it. It's a hard spiritual truth to accept - in fact, probably one of the hardest.

Eerie is likely referring to 2 groups of people - one side that is interested in debating, and the other side wants to shut down all debates. The debaters have been offering apologies. The other side hasn't responded.

@Sierepica_Fuzzywalker, and @Lilliana_Umbrellascope: I think that both of you should condense your opposing arguments into one, easy to understand post. That way everyone can understand the other side/both sides.

Others who are part of this, do the same in your own words. No arguing or replying please. We need to wait until all who will post have. Therefore, I shall make a poll:

I will condense my argument into one post so that my views can be better understood.
I will not post such a thing.
I wasn't a part of this.

Also, I think, to keep this from getting heated, those who vote that they aren't involved should get to look at, listen to, and finally pick apart each side. Reason being, so that there can be a (mostly) impartial response. Those who were a part should look at, listen to, and finally respond to (civilly!) those posts and the original posts. Remember not to specifically target someone to hurt them. Use constructive criticism. :0)

Er, my views have been in 1 post the whole time:

To summarize: I believe that believers in Christ should work through emotional pain in God's power and direction. Debate is one of the most effective methods to do so, though it can do many other things, and it is difficult, if not impossible, to live the Christian life without debating. People who are suffering from emotional pain do not have the right to attack people who are debating and make them stop.

It is never my intent to offend or hurt anyone intentionally or even accidentally. I think all I really wanted to say was that I personally don’t think it’s a sin to be LGBTQ+, and that you can be a part of that community and still be a Christian.

And, if you don’t believe that, it’s fine, just as long as you treat people who are with the same respect you would any other human being.

People will always see things differently, and that’s okay. We should just try our best to get along, and come to a mutual understanding of our differences.

And that’s all I got, I’m not much of a spokesperson.
