You have a point there, my good sir.
Communism, and socialism by extent, appeal mostly to two kinds of people, those who are willing to surrender freedom for security and those who want to take power by offering security. To the former, communism sounds like a paradise where everyone has what they need and nobody has to work if they don't want to.
I'm currently taking a class on how the Reformation shaped the world and I learned something very interesting. The Reformation taught, among other things, that all work was honorable and should be done to the glory of God. Since God is always watching and He is the ultimate boss of everything, people should work as well as if their human boss was looking over their shoulder if not better.
Now, you obviously shouldn't work yourself to death, but a job can't be fun all the time. Constantly complaining about your job is just as unhealthy as overworking yourself. Envying others their wealth without wanting the work that goes into earning it is not a good way to live. Money may make many of life's problems a little easier, but it won't banish them completely. In fact, it will bring new ones.
