Well, first of, I'm just going to answer the question concerning Trump's reelection with this-
It would depend on who's going up against him? I mean, if it's anything like last time, then yeah, he'd be one of my top choices (if I were actually old enough to vote haha). But you always have to consider that there might be an even better option at that point in time, you know? shrugs
Anyways, dropping my two cents into this topic now-
Errr, it's kind of a mixed bag. I mean, I honestly don't expect a full-blown public debate here about anything. (SHAPIRO SLAM YEAH!! fireballs) And since we're all mostly around the same spectrum value and religion-wise; it wouldn't be likely either. So, taking it at face value, this thread and what it is, is a-ok by me. Then again, I'm not a moderator and I'm not in charge so. . yeah, face value.
On the other hand, you also have to remember that most of us here are in our early teens or even lower. We might KNOW about these subjects, but aside from the actual handful of us (@Hans_Oddcraft, @Jacoby_Elderfun1, me, etc.) who actually know how to discuss it- that's a whole different matter. So yeah, this topic should be fine rule-wise, but at the same time, it just isn't very relevant compared to whatever else is going on in the forums these days haha. (wings, really???)
So yeah, (talking to @Lila_Lightcraft now), I get what you're saying. And you do very much have a right to be worried about what you are right now- thing's should be okay at this point? We have arguments, yes, but the idea isn't to shut down anything that could generate an argument (or else I would start firing arrows at everyone in the wings RP or something like that), but rather, to work it out. To discuss it, to talk about things. Judging from what @Hans_Oddcraft has already said in his own. . strange. . Hans-y ways, that's exactly what this topic is for.
Okay, that turned out longer than expected, so I'll sum it up here:
-I think this topic would be fine based on the fact that those of us who would actually use it are, in general, mature enough to have a civilized conversation about these things.
-Politics are not what the Aetherlight or its forums are about, yes, but those who are interested in it are of course entitled to talk about it. I mean, this isn't a court case, people. Like Hans said, coffee chats or something like that.
-People who aren't interested in politics don't need to be. I'm not going to say that politics don't affect everyone, because in many ways they do. But if it isn't your jam, then hey, don't play it. I've already stated my opinion why I don't think it'll cause any problems. So if you (referring to anyone) aren't into to, be out of it. Don't tell people what to or what not to say as long as it's within the guidelines.
And yeah, that's basically it. Also, as a side note, excuse any of my typos haha. My keyboard's broken so I'm using this weird new one I'm not used to.
