Before this trail goes cold, I will give my final statements, @Miss_E3.
A biblical man is to be loyal, courageous, serving, loving humble, pure, honest, disciplined, persevering, and honorable. Every man has a fire within him, and that fire should be controlled but not extinguished, as is the goal in society, in many public schools, and in the workplace. The society of today is trying to feminize men through things such as “gender equality” and the “empowerment of women”. These movements, while good-sounding, are used by the Devil to awaken our pride and sin, and make us think that we have a better plan than God. Hear me out: male and female are equal in the sight of God., but we do certainly have different roles. Roles that are being vilified and neutralized by the Devil as he attacks the God-set structure of the nuclear family. So let's get into manhood.
There are three main roles of a man, single or unmarried. (The benefit of the enacting of these roles is simply directed to a different group depending on whether you're married or not.) They are as follows: providing, leading, and protecting.
The first role of providing is the acquiring of food, water, or any basic need. The man should be willing to do near-anything to acquire these, and other unique supplies for the needs of his family. The fulfillment of these needs is often brought via money, though this is not the only way. (This is the main, most important, and driving reason a man goes to work.)
The second main role is leading. This role of leading is demonstrated in the family, the church, the mission field, and everywhere in-between. Leading is accomplished by the teaching of the Gospel, the making of the final, executive commands in a family, and the example that the man sets. A man should lead with humility and love, encouraging his followers, and being a Christ-like example.
The third and final main role of a man is protecting. It is undeniable biologically-speaking that a man is more fit to fight than a woman is. He has more physical strength, more adrenaline, more testosterone, he is bigger, and there are two psychological tactics he is able to employ in a fight. The first is that he is able to “turn off” pain in a sense. It's not as if the feeling is not receipted by the nerves, but there is a certain mental state a man can get into where it can be totally ignored. The second tactic is that the man can also cease to feel emotion on a particular subject by emotionally “walling it off”. I'm not sure if these tactics are completely universal in all men, but I would assume they are, at least to some extent. These are natural, God-given abilities that are to be used for protection. One of the best ways you can carry out secure protection is through weapons, training, and fitness.
Which is why, @Miss_E3, it's quite wrong of you when you say you like “gentle” boys. He should be both gentle and aggressive. (Lion/Lamb) If he is gentle but not aggressive, how can he protect? If he is aggressive but not gentle, how can he lead? You must have a balance, and what I'm trying to tell you is the “city-boys” you seem to like do not have the aggressive aspect needed to be a Christ-like man. You are simply and plainly wrong about biblical, chivalrous manhood. Please, heed what I'm trying to say. I am strongly convicted that I know the Truth in this. Also, all of you're counter arguments have been straw-man fallacies, and ad-hominem fallacies. You either accuse me of something I'm not, or attack my person. Instead of doing that, how about you listen to what I have to say? Some, if not most people living in the “rat-race” of the city are feminized, weak, pathetic men. It's disgusting, and society encourages it and says that it's good. It deceives both men and women. So please, listen to the truth, and follow God.
This world is growing increasingly hostile towards Christians, and those who hold traditional values. This is precisely why we need true men in this society! There aren't any. The world will consume Christians in due time, but know this. I will go down fighting, and go up in glory. Godbewithye,
P.S. Give this video a watch. It's about 5 minutes. Don't brush it aside, but truly give it a watch, @Miss_E3. [https://youtu.be/xfSKaeAEpQ0]
P.P.S. I will answer any questions you have, but I will not continue debating. All I need to say is above.
