Are there certain things that inspire you or help you get past writer’s block?

Listening to music, playing Aetherlight, and sitting down to brainstorm are a few things that renew my inspiration when I am faced with writer's block. While brainstorming, I fill out a piece of paper with random ideas, lines of dialogue, and plot twists that I have yet to write.

In addition, it always helps to have an outline of how the story is to go. Then you only have to figure out how to get from point A to point B and finally to point Z. Sometimes you have inspiration in abundance, other times the words get stuck halfway between your brain and your fingers. When that happens, the trick is writing a little at a time to reach the next waypoint on the journey. Even though it's just a small step, it means your writing isn't at a standstill.

When all else fails, I bounce ideas off another person (usually my sister or a writing friend) and they can help me to get the creative juices flowing again.

I've been writing ever since I was very young, when my mom used to type out the stories I told her. My writing journey began in earnest about 5 or 6 years ago when I started my first book.

What do you consider to be the most important part of a thriving storyline?

Realistic and sympathetic characters are the lifeblood of a story. Through them a writer can convey the theme in a way that captivates readers. That is one of my goals in storytelling.

In-Game News Report for 6-29-19

The meeting on June 29th, 2019, begins at 3:00 Central Time. Kitty I., Rex B., and Ariella N. are the first to arrive. Together they fight Baron Sizzlepot and his Combustonauts. After the fight, the majority’s consensus is that Baron Sizzlepot deserves to be demoted.

The group then heads to Engine Bay to conduct an experiment. Quickly they fill the Great Engine and, as the fog dissipates, run down to snatch up the nearest sea flower.

Following this successful experiment, they hurry to the Business District to scrap some more automatons and tell Lucky to beware, for the Resistance has not given up. They meet Jeryy F., who needs assistance fighting the goats on the Flying L. After a small mix-up, the recruits descend into the Below-decks and smash the necessary goats, including the Billy Goat trio.

After that, Kitty I. and Rex B. have to leave. Ariella N. heads to the Snowmoors with Flash J. and Dathmaul C. They battle Cogras, Scorpistons, and Crododials. Then Ariella N. must sign off. Thus ends the meeting of June 29th, 2019.

What sort of person would you describe Ariella as? Is she similar to you?

I would describe Ariella Newheart as cheerful, caring, arbitrary, somewhat crazy, loyal, and protective. She is very similar to me in many ways, though she's definitely more extroverted and spontaneous than I am. Back when I first began my role-play, she was even more like me. I have changed a lot since then, but her character has stayed pretty constant through the years.

Since our last edition just came out and we still haven't completed the next line up as of yet, we'll be taking this July off.
