Studies Cody as he falls through the portals again and again without removing my earphones, before speaking reflectively.

"I never knew the Wild West contained such unstable points in the space-time continuum... fascinating."

Sighs.

"Would you like me to close the portal for you? I'm sure it's quite... disorienting."

"Yes..." The portal closes on it's own and I fall in a heap on the floor.

"You were probably the first person to discover it, hence the distinct lack of signage."

Draws back curtain temporarily to reveal an empty and dusty western-style town.

"Ghost town."

Lets curtain fall back.

"There's a curious absence of activity on the forums today. Things have been slowing down lately."

Shifts in the chair.

"Which has given me time to... think."

Gets tired of physically shrugging, so mentally shrugs instead.

"Possibly."

Reaches under the chair with my free hand to grab a handful of salted potato chips before stuffing them inside my mouth and chewing thoughtfully.

"Not bad."

Watches as Cody peaces out and fades into black, leaving me alone in the ghost town once more.

"And then there was one..."

Sighs, then swaps my bag of potato chips for a small carton of fresh raspberries, before popping one in my mouth.
