Well, about three years ago, during Wednesday night prayer service, a bat flew into the sanctuary. Our church was built in the 1830s, so its reaaaaaaaaaallllly old. My dad patched up the hole (He's the pastor/lawn-mower/janitor) and all's been good. Today I went over to church to practice my piano songs, since my recital is in early May. I walked in, and saw a starling fly out from underneath one of the curtains in the back of the sanctuary. It scared me a lot. I ran back home and my ma said to leave the door open so the bird could hopefully fly out. I was feeling very creeped out, especially since there were two guys across the street (both smoking, and one who was in violation of 1 Corinthians 11:14) working on a rundown house. It didn't help that the bird was squawkin' and flying up to the lights. I think it left while I was practicing though. Up in the church's attic we have found deceased birds, so i hope he's gone.
