Welp...
Everything's pretty much died down around here. But not in a good way. Recent events have left people with little hope for these forums. People...leaving. Friends, leaving. You understand.
When I get on the forums I anticipate hanging out with you guys and having a blast. That doesn't happen as much as I'd like anymore. Honestly...I don't know what to say. I thought I had the solution to our problems, but no-one's really...headdesk...wanted to? I guess? I said "Get rid of our pride and have some fun," I guess that's not as easy I thought it'd be. It's probably possible, but I'm beginning to think that's not what you want. It's what I want. I want to have fun and goof off with you guys. I don't really know what you want at this point, reader.
Maybe you just want peace. Maybe you just wanted the arguments to stop. Maybe you just want to role-play and show off your amazing writing skills. Maybe you just want people to respect your opinions. Maybe you enjoy reading debates. Maybe you just don't care. Maybe you don't understand why-- why anything. Maybe you're like me and look forward to having fun on The Aetherlight Forums.
Maybe you just want the forums to be golden again.

Hope...is not lost. No. Hope...hope has just arrived. I'm not talking about a person or a thing. I'm talking about a mindset. My mind is SET on restoring the community, and bringing back unity. You've heard that a lot over the past few days. βRestore the community, bring back unity. Vote for caleb and Ariella,β you know the one. I'm not about to go back on my goals now. So we're gonna do this. Together. Do you care for this community? Do you love playing Aetherlight and having a blast? Ask yourself those questions. In order to reunite we've got to be willing. I quote the song βElementsβ by TobyMac: βI'll fight the elements. I'll fight the elements. I got spirit, I got faith. I might bend, but I won't break. I'll fight the elements... And Imma go down swingin' if I go down! And Imma go down swingin' if I go down!β
He isn't talking about fighting people, he's talking about fighting sin and temptation. We can apply this to our life in the real world, and our time on the forums. I don't mean go and scream and swing your virtual fists at someone who offends you. I mean fight the temptation to argue and say negative things. And if you see a post that's goes against the community guidelines, flag it. It's better to silently bring the moderators attention to something inappropriate than to argue with what that person has said.
Y'now what? I'm done talking about that stuff. You know how it works. That's not my main point anyways.
The forums were once a place of fun and excitement, as you probably already know. What's to stop us from bringing back The Golden Days? Nothing. There's stuff that will make it hard to restore the community, but we're The Resistance. There's nothing we can't do with the help of God. We need to pray, and we need to read The Bible. I recently heard a message from my pastor about sin in the church. We are not a church, but it also applies to families and friendships, so it can apply to us-- a community. He said that if one person in the church is in sin it decreases the spiritual temperature of the church. That means that if we have secret sin and we don't confess it to God and get right with him, then we come on here, what's gonna happen is our temperature is gonna start going down. That's bad.

There I go again. Getting away from my main point. Just ignore that, I don't want to delete all that time. Though it would be good if we are all walking with God. It will help us.
Okay, here we go.
We've forgotten why we're actually here. Most of us are here because we had a question about the game or just wanted to check out the forums. If you're still here, it's probably because you fell in love with the community. Why did you fall in love? Because this place used to be fun? Well, yeah...But it was different, because we're Christians. We were a bunch of CRAZYAWESOME Aetherlighters having a blast talking about the most random of things!
And most of us are still the same people. Besides the few people that just up and decided to leave every once in a while.
Why do you think people left? Is it because they decided they were too mature for the Aetherlight forums? Or is it because we suddenly became...different. Suddenly focused on popularity and respect we lost most of our crazy streak.
Participate, guys.
Be crazy, goof off, have fun.
Play Aetherlight, smash autos, break the fog.

We're The Resistance. Let's start Resisting again.
Love you guys.
