I should probably mention that the linked post is INCREDIBLY outdated.
Most of the topics like Random Anything were closed, several of the topics hadn't been posted to in ages, a lot of the role plays were dead, and it looked like the original poster just sort of advertised his own topics most of the time.
So I spent a lot of time and energy reading and researching. I managed to put together a much more up-to-date welcome post. @moderators, would it be alright if I post this?
Hello there, we've been expecting you. If you are reading this I assume you are the newest arrival here on the Aetherlight Forums.
First, allow me to say welcome! I know you must have many questions but all will be explained in due time.
The Aetherlight Forums can be a chaotic place at times which is why I have taken the liberty to put together a small list of tips and suggestions to kickstart your journey. Read them at your leisure or just skip to the end and leave a comment. Either way, here ya go.

These are the friendly neighborhood Moderators that are always available if you have any questions, comments, or tips on how to make a nice cup of tea. The Forum features an assortment of role plays from many users and their unique and colorful characters. Under the Role Play category, you can join an existing role play and step into the shoes of your Aetherlight character. Have a story to tell? Before you get started, I would suggest reading through a few of them (I suggest the shorter ones) just to get an idea of how things work and where the story is heading. Carefully choose which role plays you want to be in and post your bio in the bio topic:
