@Jones_Elderview, the reason we have the bio topic is because we had almost as many bio topics as we did rp's, which usually meant three topics for every single rp which is a lot, and can easily create spam. Using a singular bio topic, you can put down all of your bios in one post. All people have to do is look you up in the bio topic and they can find the specific bio. It's much easier and creates a lot less spam.

@Shadow_Darksong It's fine. I wasn't offended and I think he honestly just wants to drop it because in his opinion it shouldn't even be discussed. I understand why he made the topic, but here was another solution that I'd rather have happen, but there was a problem and @Jacoby_Elderfun1 solved it.

I already have 3 bios in there and probably more in the future, how would they know which one I am using for that RP? Just using the discussion topic of the RP would be fine, no? Though I do agree, it makes far less spam.

There are a lot more posts in the discussion topic. In a lot of them there are thousands of replies. What you need to do is condense all your bios into one post, putting the name of your role-play at the top, here I'll show you.

Then when you want to update it just quote your previous ones, add the new one, and then go to edit requesting and ask the mods to remove the old one.

OKAY, LISTEN UP...

Originally there were no bio topics at all. We were always us in every RP. Then suddenly everyone decided we had to be different in every time and that created a lot of spam because of the creation of bio topics.

That's why Jacoby made the Bio Topic to reduce spam, and it really has which is so nice. I strongly disagree that we should bring bio topics back, and if you're having a hard time finding your bio on the topic, bookmark it for a quick find.

I never said 'bring bio topics back' I agree, there is no need for them, but there is need for a discussion topic, where we can put our discussions about the rp without it being in the rp topic, we could also put our bios there without it being off topic. Right?

It’s a good idea but I like the Bio topic because because having then all in one place is just easier. You can look up somebody else’s bio that your rping with in like two seconds rather then having to go threw every post in the discussion topic. Ah for instance Imp views discussion topic I’m not looking threw all of that just to find a bio.

You can, but usually there are more replies in the discussion topic than the actual rp. Using the bio topic just makes it easier for everyone to find your bio.

Do you know about filtering posts in a topic by user?
Under the first post in a topic, there're a bunch of user avatars ranked by the amount of their posts in a topic. If you click on them, you can click the filter icon with " ___ posts in topic" button in the upper right of the popup. Then you can see only their posts in a topic.

You can do a similar thing with the search button. Just type in their tag (@Hanna_Brassheart) and click the checkbox for "Search this topic," then press enter.
