there are dirt piles that you plant seedlings from lukass workshop in and they will give you flowers there are a bunch of different locations but the most common are on the isle for gold petals and in urchins grotto for indigo petats
And after you’ve planted them you water them and let them grow for a day or two. When you come back and they have bloomed you can harvest them.

Unless you are far enough along to have the dreamweaver to see the invisible loot boxes, the only way to get aether boilers is to craft them. If you don't have the plans to craft them yet, try some different quests until you do.
