Put it in the âlazy designer rough draftsâ and add âis too lazy to watch a video to find an imageâ to my long list of evil attributes.
I was just testing a theory. It is, in fact, a highly masculine image and my early work with it evidences brutal gender-swapping, placing female names on the male characters. I realized that was problematic, so I switched it for the other background.
When I did, I noticed the contrast. The first image concentrates masculine energy on the left side of the picture because the two male characters are facing each other, and the female disapproval on the right hand side makes that concentration even worse, which at least part of what makes it amusing.
The second image dilutes the energy and the resulting memes are fairly weak. On the other hand, I always end up on the right hand side, (as evidenced by the three memes above) and since I rarely find myself disapproving of gentleman parents and their little boys, itâs hard to design from that position.
All right, designer intrigue over, point that no one cares about made. Moving on.
