install ffmpeg (free)
learn how to use ffmpeg to splice video
get better quality video than Premiere, because Premiere re-renders the whole video and loses quality.
Save hundreds of dollars a year. Forget that Premiere exists.
Remember to set your start variables before uploading to YouTube.

So that was my first choice, but it doesn't work well with mp4 files. Ffmpeg runs the merger in parallel and so overwrites the files.

For me, from what I see ffmpeg is a lot different from what I know and my dad is already using the creative cloud plan for his business so I just use his premiere pro

You might have been doing it wrong. My brother concatenates mp4 with ffmpeg all the time.

ffmpeg -f concat -i inputs.txt -c copy -movflags +faststart part4.mp4

inputs.txt:

file 'part34.mp4'
file 'part35.mp4'

That's the easiest way.

My brother wants to know the exact error message you got and, preferably, a screenshot with the exact command you put in and the error you received.

He says that it could be anything from the installation of ffmpeg to where the text file is located, and that you aren't giving him enough information.
