Queen of the Sky:
The sky shone with the rich colors of the dawn. The clouds caught the early morning light and turned it into fluffy piles of pastel hues. Among these clouds, like Aurora of ancient myths, flew a girl with brilliantly plumed wings. They beat as naturally as any bird's, their blue feathers seeming to forebode the bright blue sky to come. She smiled as she flew, soaring and diving before the awakening sun. She danced around clouds, her black braid flying behind her like the tail of an exotic bird. The mask on her face sparkled in the sunlight. Her eyes shone like jewels of joy and freedom. He skirt blew in the wind as she raced the morning breeze. Far beneath her, trees waved in the wind like the waves of the sea. The morning mist slipped around trunks like ghostly spirits of the wood. On the topmost branches of the waving trees, dewdrops twinkled like tiny crystals. Birds awoke and sang their welcome to the new day. Larks rose from their nests, carrying their song to the heights of the painted sky and the girl who flew freely there. It was a new dawn, a new day, a new beginning.
