@Spector_Otterquill, sighs, this can ALSO be better fitted in the music topic or maybe a small reply strand in Talk All You Want. In all honesty, the Newboys are great, but I do not expect you or anyone else to be talking about them enough consecutively to create another topic just for them. Maybe creating a "Christian Bands and Artists" topic might be better?

Anyways, the whole point here is that before you make a topic, you need to think about how it might benefit and affect (negatively or positively) the forums.

And, as a suggestion, shouldn't you be using that topic-rating/evaluation topic YOU made yourself?

Hm... you might have a point here, and I'm clearly biased, so I'll let @Hanna_brassheart decide on this one. But personally, I believe that it might be big enough (or actively used) to stay as a topic.

Alright, the problem here, @Spector_Otterquill, is that your argument is that because that there are smaller branching topics stemming from those topics, it makes this topic perfectly fine. But if you want to take a look, you won't find any smaller topics concerning specific bands or artists. At least, you didn't list any.

Marvel can stand by itself because it is not solely about movies, Marvel is a comic-producing company. The entire Marvel universe and things about it can be discussed in its own topic because it's not ALL about movies. Get what I'm saying?

Same thing with Tron, but on a smaller scale.

I would say that especially large fandoms justify their own topics, so they won't clutter up other topics and make them unorganized.
This, however, is not a fandom! I do believe it belongs in the Music section.
The Favorite Song topic did not get closed because it is different than discussing music. It's discussing the favorite songs of people. I suppose it would be a subtopic of Music, but Fav. Song is a large enough topic to justify its own page.
