thank you @Coop_Blimppenny. i really apreciate that. i am right now writing down ideas for (yet another) aetherlight board game. (which now that i think about it works a bit like the original Aetherlight, just as a board game)i'll try and post about it soon.

Well, the nominations are only suggestions—the staff may very well decide to give someone a badge completely independent of anybody’s nominations. It’s just for if someone sees someone else who they feel has been doing a lot of good for the forums, and wants to make sure the mods don’t overlook them. Nominating someone won’t guarantee they’re given a badge.But I understand what you’re conerned about. Let’s see what @Coop_Blimppenny thinks.

I think we'll leave the option open for people to send in nominations because that's the kind of thing that was acceptable to send to our support email before anyways.

I do agree though, I would prefer if people didn't discuss who they sent a nomination about in the forums, just to avoid a popularity contest. @moderators lets try to monitor this kind of talk, just so it doesn't make things too competitive.

And for everyone else, I ask that you just keep your nomination emails to yourself. Just to keep them anonymous.

All of this is not to say you shouldn't compliment and recognize your friends here on the forums for being amazing and talented people, please keep doing that! These badges are just a different kind of situation that we need to treat a little different.

Today I am excited to present the Aether Supporter badge to our very own @Xonos_Darkgrate1.

This has been long overdue. Ever since the early days of the forums, Xonos has contributed advice, guides, and ideas to keep the forums running in tip-top shape. However, he has done so much more. When I was the only moderator a few years back, he truly kept me from going insane. He even made a few posts on my behalf like this when words utterly failed me. And after the intrepid Jacoby and Iliara joined the team, all of us began to brainstorm, along with a few other Aethasians, what we could do to bring the forums higher. Those legendary conversations led to the NARP and Double Account guidelines, which (I hope you all agree) really did help the forums become a more organized, focused, all-player friendly place. Now that I look back on everything, I am really amazed, Xonos, for all you did for the forums. We Community Moderators have been discussing giving you this badge for ages and I am proud to bestow the honor today. Thank you!
