Meh... It was all about The Universe and, to me, it was a little preachy - not preachy as in the Christian truth, but preachy as in "doing good" and the bad guy, the "It", was basically evil. And some characters were a bit cheesy/overacting. (Storm Reid [the main character] and the boy did an AMAZING job, though.)
And what bothers me most:
Spoilers (view at your own risk):
In one of the scenes, Meg Murry's (Storm Reid) younger brother, Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe, who TOTALLY overacted) turned evil and this massive "It" was consuming the earth, basically. XD So, guess what epically predictable thing happens: Meg is able to convince Charles Wallace not to be evil by "loving him", and then he turns good - but guess what! Not only does he turn good again, but the entire "It" consuming the earth is destroyed! Just for brother-and-sister love? Can someone say cheesy?
So, it wasn't my favorite, but Storm did a great job with her character, and a few others.
