Incredibles 2

Apparently there's also a Peter Rabbit movie coming out too, but I'm not really excited for that.

The plot seems a wee bit too familiar to the plot of the first movie (super heroes using their powers again even though the government doesn't want them to; a possible villain wants to get one of the parents back into fighting crime; the kids want in on it; etc.)

But then again, who knows if Brad Bird has some new plot twist added in. I'm pretty sure that I'll enjoy this long-awaited movie either way.

I do appreciate how the plot still involves real-life family dynamic, and that they didn't forget the ol' Underminer!

Has anyone ever watched Alone Yet Not Alone? It's a pretty good frontier/Indian movie. I was a bit upset that Daniel Boone wasn't in it though.

Eh, I think that is reading to much into it. I think it will be more like “moms should be moms and look after their kids in the way that only moms can” instead of chasing other things (like superhero legalization). Which is actually an anti-feminist message I can totally get behind.

The jokes really seem to highlight Mr. Incredible’s incompetance at taking over a female role more than anything else. We’ll just have to wait and see, probably.

I don’t think there were any bad words either, which is nice!

(unless I forgot -though if it was really bad I don’t think I’d forget too much! )
