I blush a little, I mean, someone disappearing is serious, but I didn't think it was that serious! Kitty wasn't hurt or anything! I think he was just a little upset or something.
"Thanks. We probably need to pack some food and other supplies, we have no idea how far Kitty has gone and it might be a while until we find him."
Me and Nola walk toward the kitchen when I hear a meow, hiss, and rattle behind me and turn. There sat Willow, Timothy, and Sahara, all looking expectantly at me. Of course they'd heard the whole conversation.
"Oops, I forgot about these fluffs of mine. Do you think they'll be alright here by themselves?"
Willow gasped, Timothy looked hurt, and Sahara made a face. All three animals jumped on me and started making a racket.
"Calm down, guys! Good grief! I wasn't actually going to leave you!" I laugh as my friends clamber all over me. Willow sighs with relief, Timothy rattles happily, and Sahara smiles with satisfaction.
"I'm not going to leave all of you, but I do have to leave one of you." All three animals looked sad again. "Sorry! But I don't think I can keep track of three fluff balls while adventuring! I can only take two of you."
Willow immediately understood and ran off as fast as she could.
I smile gratefully and settle Timothy on my shoulder, and Sahara on my arm. Nola and I start walking again.
"What was that about?" Nola asks.
"Willow realized Timothy and Sahara hadn't gotten an adventure with me yet, so she's going to stay and look after our stuff."
