(OOC: Thanks for the mention! You're right though, I don't control your mind. I just put thoughts in them, my thoughts. I can't control this ability though. I think "controlling" is too OP.)

"I hadn't met you yet, and Skyhawk said you were the other Nest Guardian, so I figured I could ask you about... maybe... my quarters?" Lightscape looked at Nola, thoughts analyzing Nola and her personality. He didn't know why, but it seemed like Nola was hiding something from him. Hiding what, he didn't know. Not yet, anyway.
Nola rose to her feet, seeming more excited. "Yeah! Was Vytanni busy? She's usually helping new people find their rooms." Nola paused a little, then continued. "You're new here, aren't you?"
Lightscape tilted his head slightly. No... not again... I don't want to scare off Nola like I did with Emily...
Wait... why does she look familiar...
Lightscape's gaze rose back up to Nola. We've met before.
Lightscape could tell Nola heard that thought. Lightscape quickly looked away from Nola, which, in a normal conversation, would be considered rude. For Lightscape, he thought it was the best.
Nola cleared her throat. "You're not from around here, right?"
Lightscape looked back at Nola, thinking of what to say before he said it. No. I sensed someone, and when I came here, I sensed someone else even stronger. I think that's you.
Lightscape sighed, rubbing his eyes. She heard that one too, didn't she?
Finally, Nola gasped. "You can read... you can read my..."
"Sorry, I can't control it," Lightscape quickly replied. I'm Lightscape, by the way. You can call me Firefly.
Lightscape could tell Nola didn't want to be around him any longer. He knew that feeling. That was what his own friend had done to him, especially after he had gotten his wings. He frowned a bit as Nola started talking. "W-well... um... I'm not the expert on getting new fledglings all settled in - that's probably V-vytanni's job. Y-you should go check on her." Nola quickly darted out of the garden and ran down the empty, airy hall.
Lightscape sighed, slipping into the building and walking slowly down the hall. He wasn't trying to follow Nola. He knew that if she was like any other person he'd met, she'd just slip right out of any conversation Lightscape would try to ignite.
As he walked down the hall more, he saw a large tree in the center of the hallway. Planning on sitting next to it, he walked faster until he heard a voice and stopped in midair.
"Moondust! No!" Lightscape squinted, trying to make out the voice.
"Come on, Zephyr! Help me catch him! Ice cream isn't good for dragons!" Lightscape could then make out two figures, one girl and one boy, running after something that must have been loose.
"Catch him! Quickly!" The girl yelled. Not knowing what to do, Lightscape climbed the tree tackled something that looked like a mini dragon. As both Lightscape and the dragon fell down into the barkdust, Skyhawk suddenly came into view.
"Emily! Pig! Lightscape! What are you guys doing?"
"Moondust was trying to eat strawberry ice cream!" The girl, who's name was Emily, exclaimed hopelessly. "It's not good for dragons to eat ice cream!"
"You mean COLD AND SWEET DELICIOUSNESS?" The boy, who's name was Pig, corrected, panting with Emily.
Skyhawk turned toward Lightscape. "Lightscape, you broke the coolest branch of the tree." Lightscape pursed his lips, but Skyhawk quickly continued. "Just kidding. But I do need you to see me in my office, though." Lightscape opened his mouth, but then closed it as he followed Skyhawk's lead.
