And the game hasn’t been updated for 5 years. That is the root of this problem in all ways. We have little game to discuss and people have grown up over the 5 year delay. Which I have said before at least a couple times. Given that half the forum doesn’t pay attention to my posts half the time , I’m not surprised that didn’t sink in.
But regardless, when I do see a discussion like this it is hard to resist participating, because the other person may genuinely need information that I possess. Sometimes, though, I just can’t deal, emotionally, with the topic under discussion and have not responded when a post from me could have helped stop the discussion. So it goes both ways on that.
Christward is also supposed to be a kids’ forum.
If I were a moderator right now (which I am not, don’t make me one, I’d be an absolutely horrible moderator) what I would do is make a topic entitled “Adult Conversations” and lock it. Then I would go through the forum and move all of the more mature conversations to that topic, and keep it locked.
The reason why I would do this is that it allows the adult forumers to continue their conversations over alternative means by linking and referring to the posts they have made, but doesn’t allow the discussion to continue on the forum. Younger forumers can avoid the topic because it is marked out.
People who continue their discussions on the forum after some or all of the posts have been moved to that topic will get +10 ban points. If a staff mod wants to delete said topic in the future, fantastic! The posts are all in one place, and he or she can just do a @Hanna_Brassheart on it. Then we can all have a meme party again.
