I go to karate and take one nap. What do you think happens? Tut tut, @Mr_F3, I think you must be one of those men that just likes to watch the world burn.
I think you ought to know how moderators are chosen. It isn't a vote. They are chosen by whichever developer is responsible for the forums along with the forum moderators. Hanna was the first community moderator, then Jacoby and Iliara were chosen, then Peregrine, Emily and Hans.
Well, I'm not sure what to say next except what in the whole, wide, history of everything is everybody trying to achieve?
@Sierepica_Fuzzywalker, much as I respect you, I don't think that insinuation that @Mr_F3 came here to purposefully spoil the forums is very nice.
@Spector_Otterquill, I don't think you're as good at catching people in their own words as you think you are. The forums are ours to an extent as they are everybody's place to hang out and have fun.
@moderators, do not underestimate the power of midday naps. I've had one myself and it's very refreshing.
In all seriousness, and I say this as someone who cares about the whole lot of you, you should ensure that your end isn't fueled by wounded pride. As someone who gets into online debates like a bear gets into honey, I've had to learn to check what my opponent actually said. Reacting to how the words made me feel has, as you well know, brought me much embarrassment.
I know the argument could be made that the forums belong a little more to the moderators than to the common crowd, but it seems rather week. Just because some of the hotel guests make sure the staff aren't overwhelmed and help out their neighbors still doesn't mean it is their hotel. I think this should be on the wall in the special moderator's lounge.
25 Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. 26 But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. 27 For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.
