Nope, never pushed such a narrative. I'm going to have to assume you're projecting.
I represent myself. If you disagree, that is fully in your right to but don't act as if I've attempted to start some sort of rebellion.
I've voiced the issues I see. I would advise you to address those rather than what you think my intentions are.
Spare me the propaganda. You know as well as I do that the moderators have nothing backing them and haven't had any sort of direction in quite a long time. They were chosen because the majority of them have been around since the beginning. There isn't some carefully orchestrated hierarchy that sets the moderators in place so don't give me that nonsense about "the content of their character" and "hard work and dedication."
Here's the thing, though. Honestly, I do think the moderators do a good job. From what I've seen they are responsible moderators and most of them are likable, mature people.
That, however, doesn't mean that they are perfect and their methods are always correct which I have clearly pointed out.
See that is the precise attitude I'm talking about. This forum isn't yours, it's ours as a community. You work for the people, not yourselves.
That is actually a better analogy.
Every one of these posts were viewed, moderated, and ignored.
That would have been nice to know the first time I mentioned not having been promoted.
That doesn't make a flying flicking lick of sense. To be fair, I don't know how the warning system works but I'm guessing that receiving a warning doesn't equal the suspension of the ability to voice my opinions.
If so I guess that's another grievance to add to the list.
I never got a reply back and I don't think Logan did either. (He may have, I just can't find it.)
Cool cool. Thank you, but I don't have a complaint.
Pretentious refers to claiming undeserved importance or merit.
As a member of these fine forums, I'd say I have quite a bit of importance. I've claimed no higher merit than I deserve as a human being and a member of your community.
To say otherwise is to only reinforce my points concerning the attitude the moderators hold toward their community.
I assumed you "sided with me" because you had the maturity to see the truth of the situation. Was I wrong?
Look, the moderators are gnarly people okay? Is that something we can agree on? Over all they do a great job and keep the forums running like a 300 HP Mack engine.
But I don't appreciate the narrative that we're all guests in their house as ol' Hans so aptly put it. It's no way to treat your position and certainly no way to run a forum.
